Surrau

Vigne Surrau is located at the gates of the Costa Smeralda, a symbol of Gallurian hospitality: the Demuro family project stems from harmonious research between manufacturing and nature, and see the cellar as a workplace, where the  product of the earth is transformed through visible processes that guarantees its quality. Surrounded by the vineyard, the cellar is characterized by a set of transparent facades and walls of local stone, that blend with the earth. The vineyards owned by Surrau, an area of about 60 hectares, extend in the easternmost part of Gallura, a few kilometers from the sea, in sunny valleys, caressed by the dry mistral.

Sciala

Vermentino di Gallura D.O.C.G. Superiore

Surrau’s Vermentino Sciala brings together the best characteristics of this typology: roundness and good alcohol content, balanced by a great freshness and intense sapidity. The aromas bring to mind exotic fruit, sweet almonds, citrus fruits notes, along with Mediterranean scrub, with a background of iodine and almost salty notes. The taste is rounded, fleshy and juicy, strengthened by a lovely freshness, and well-balanced terroir minerality that is felt, above all, in its persistence. The perfect balance between the agreeable softness and the exciting acid-saline energy makes it the perfect pairing with tasty seafood soups, fish or vegetable soups, white meats and fresh cheeses.
