Cantina del Vermentino di monti

The Cantina del Vermentino, whose name pays homage to the noblest of the vines grown in Gallura, was founded in 1956. Today it has 350 members and vineyards growers, all of them located between Olbia and Monti, a small town between lower Gallura and Logudoro, behind the Costa Smeralda. the vineyards of Monti are planted on soils derived from granite disintegration, at less than 450 meters above sea level  in perfect compliance with  the regulations of the disciplinare DOCG, that in 1996 conferred the coveted Denomination of Controlled and Guaranteed Origin to Vermentino di Gallura, with planting patterns, training, and traditional pruning systems that do not modify the full characteristics of the grapes and wines.

Funtanaliras Oro

Vermentino di Gallura D.O.C.G. Superiore

Vermentino di Gallura “Funtanaliras Oro” has a pale straw yellow color with a light greeny nuance. Intense aromas of yellow fruit and exotic fruit on the nose, including peach, quince and banana, floral notes of jasmine, acacia, herbs, mineral hints, and nuts such as almonds at the end. In the mouth it is rounded, dry, soft, rich, gentle and smooth, characterized by a nice crispness and the typical almond finish.

A pleasant drinking wine which harmonises mineral sapidity and sweet juiciness of fruit.

Fusilloni pasta seasoned with oyster emulsion, oysters, zucchini flowers, and sea air

Sauted fusilloni pasta, seasoned with oyster emulsion and sea asparagus, served with low temperature cooked oysters and zucchini flowers. The so-called sea air that completes the dish is obtained from the water from the oyster shells, to remind you of the scents of the Gallura sea.
